Solitude

Let me wander in the labyrinth
of your memories, between the spaces
of your eyelids. Like an isle in the heart
of a tempest, I find my peace. Naked I lie,
amidst the ocean, of frozen waves,
I wonder if that shore would ever beckon me.

Your breath, I hear, while it escapes
your lips parted. I love the way your
hair curl while you sleep.
Sonorous, repugnant, have my thoughts
become, for the caress of your
touch, they yearn.

It rained today, washed the streets clean.
Your tears I felt, when my face felt warm
again. In anguish I shut my eyes, to
drown the conundrum of the daily, to listen
to you when you said you missed me.

In solitude, live I, of eternal sanctity, a quiet
beyond the human. I feel your pain, your joy.
i cry your tears and smile your smile.
The world, I questioned, for answers
that lay within.
